HAWTHORNE ELEMENTARY

Welcome to Hawthorne, a community school, where we are all part of an amazing FAMILY! Our school is intent on ensuring that ALL students have access to the best quality curriculum and instruction in all subject areas, teaching students how to learn and play in a family-friendly environment on a safe, orderly and well-maintained campus, with funding sources to meet all student needs in the classroom. We pride ourselves on continually reflecting and refining our instructional lens with a variety of relevant training for teachers and staff and where we ALL work above and beyond to ensure EVERY student reaches their potential.

Our Counselors Ms. Bain and Ms. Pham have created an online counseling center for our huskies to have access to online resources.  View the website here. 

TK Information:

To be eligible for TK students must turn 4 by September 1st.  Parents will need to complete an online enrollment and be required to upload their childs birth certificate, proof of residence (SDG&E, cable, phone bill, etc.),  up to date immunizations and IEP if applicable.  The district Neighborhood Schools and Enrollment Options Office will rank students using their priorities listed on the TK website here and send the offers of enrollment to those families selected.  If our school has reached capacity before your child has been offered a seat, the district office will offer you the next neighboring school with available space.  

School is closed for Summer Break from Friday, May 30th through Friday, August 8th.  School will resume on Monday, August 11th, 2025.

TK Program:
Children must turn 4 by September 1  to be eligible to enroll in the Transitional Kindergarten . We are currently full, but will be happy to direct to schools with spots available.

Kindergarten:
Children must turn five years by September 1 to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten.
